Who Our Programs Help
He is a 42-year-old disabled veteran, honorably discharged from the United States Army as a combat medic in 2014. Since Dennis has a 90% disability rating, he receives about $3,500 a month through the VA. However, due to his combat-related disability, he is not able to work to earn extra income.
Dennis and his wife recently decided to adopt his two nieces upon the passing of their mother. This process set the family back financially and his flawless credit score was in jeopardy.
Through the PenFed Foundation, Dennis was able to apply for Emergency Financial Assistance where he received $3,500 for his past due mortgage payment along with financial counseling to help him budget accordingly during this period of financial set-back.
