The PenFed Foundation is proud to see the incredible impact of a recent grant awarded to VETS – Beyond the Uniform through our Military Heroes Program. This grant has played a vital role in supporting the Improving Veteran and Military Spouse Employment project, which has empowered veterans and military spouses to transition successfully into civilian employment.
In just three months, the program has integrated 25 new participants, providing them with:
- 25 comprehensive assessments to evaluate career strengths and areas for development.
- 75+ hours of personalized coaching, offering targeted guidance to enhance skills and build confidence.
- 50+ hours of program development, customized to meet the specific needs of veterans and military spouses.
The services delivered through this program have been critical in helping participants not only develop the skills needed for civilian employment but also regain confidence and clarity in their career paths.

One military spouse, who recently completed the program, shared the following about their experience:
