Military Heroes Program
When there is a gap, we step in to make sure the individual and collective needs of our service members and their families are being met. We do this by forming partnerships with non-profit organizations working within our military communities and providing them with the resources and tools to empower our military heroes and support the transition from service to civilian life.

Veteran Entrepreneur Program
Since 2018, the Veteran Entrepreneur Program has supported more than 120 veteran and military spouse founders nationwide. Through The PenFed Foundation’s network of investors, mentors, and subject-matter experts, alumni have raised millions in early capital, built strategic relationships, and received world-class guidance from industry leaders.
In 2026, we will introduce a two-track model – Incubator and Accelerator – to serve entrepreneurs at different stages.
Homeward Trails Animal
Rescue Partnership
The PenFed Foundation has partnered with Homeward Trails to provide military families with the gift of a loving companion. During military service, pets can provide unconditional love and support for the families, and can help fill voids left by deployment. In addition to covering the adoption fees, Homeward Trails will be providing families with a welcome kit that includes the essentials for their new companion. Adopting a pet is life changing and can improve a family’s well-being by providing comfort and alleviating stress and anxiety.
