Culinary Institute of America Grant

The Culinary Institute of America was founded in 1946 to help veterans prepare for culinary careers, and The PenFed Foundation is proud to partner with the CIA to provide funding for veterans seeking to take their culinary careers to the next level.

Grants of up to $2,500 are available for ProChef Certifications, CIA Boot Camp, or other CIA programs not covered by the G.I. Bill.

Requirements:

  • Must be current military or a veteran meeting the below requirements.
  • Separated from the service within 5 years of application.
  • Received an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions.
  • Served a minimum of 2 years Active Duty, this includes service in: Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, or Reserves or National Guard on Title 10 Call-ups, or Active Guard/Reserves.
  • Programs at all CIA locations are eligible for the grant, including affiliated universities.
