Paul Mavrikes

Chief Operating Officer

Paul Mavrikes is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes, serving as the operations and strategic leader of the Foundation while partnering with the President and CEO to develop and implement the Foundation’s long-term vision.

Prior to joining The PenFed Foundation, Paul worked in a leadership role at a Public Affairs firm in Washington, DC. He previously worked at the Bush School of Government & Public Service in Washington, D.C., at Texas A&M’s D.C. campus, overseeing the daily business operations of the Bush School and the facility. Paul was among the inaugural staff members hired at Bush School DC, was responsible for long-term strategic planning for the facility, and was instrumental in establishing all business functions from the ground up.

Paul serves on the Board of Trustees of Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, the Board of Visitors of the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park, and the Young Professionals Council of the First Tee of Greater Washington. He is an emeritus member of Bullis School’s Alumni Association Board, which he led as Alumni Board Chair & President from 2020-2025. Paul is also a member of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.

Paul earned a B.A. in Government and Politics (with a focus on U.S. Government) and a Minor in History (with a focus on British History) from the University of Maryland, College Park.
