How We Help

Through these three distinct initiatives we are able to offer our help to those who have served.

Our Programs

Military Heroes Program

The Military Heroes Program provides financial help to our military community. Our work helps improve the quality of life for active-duty service members, Veterans, and their families before they face a crisis.

Supporting our heroes who supported us.

Together, we’ve supported our military community with over $50M in 22 years.

Afghan Allies Program

In response to the 2021 crisis in Afghanistan, the Foundation opened the Afghan Allies Program to assist refugees who assisted our nation’s Veterans or supported our country’s values in exemplary ways. The program focuses on resettling Afghan women and their families who worked alongside U.S. Army women soldiers through the Army’s Cultural Support Team (CST).

Impact Statistic:

In just 6 months, we’ve already helped 48 families resettle in the United States.

Veteran Entrepreneur Program

The Veteran Entrepreneur Program propels Veteran-led companies to new heights. Through a variety of programs, we support Veteran entrepreneurs from the idea stage to Series A and beyond. At any stage, the program will better prepare founders for fundraising efforts and bring clarity to the elusive process of accessing capital.

Helping Raise Service Dogs

The PenFed Foundation has partnered with Canine Companions, the nation’s first and most successful service dog organization, which provides highly trained dogs free of charge to veterans and others with a disability. Founded in 1975, the Santa Rosa, California based nonprofit has already placed more than 8000 service dogs.

Onward Ops Partnership

The PenFed Foundation has partnered with Onward Ops to empower veterans as they make the challenging transition from military service to success in the civilian world.
